Welcome to the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers brand new website! TACDL is one of the oldest state criminal bar associations in the country. Since 1973, members of this organization have worked tirelessly to support the work of the criminal defense bar, educate lawyers and act as a voice for the bar and the citizen accused in the judicial, legislative and executive branches of government.

Through our listserve, the Weekly Writ, For the Defense, our Roundtables, fabulous CLE programs, committee work, the TACDL Trial College, this new website and our staff in Nashville we continue to provide our members with the services they need to be able to best serve the citizens of this state and all those found within her borders who find themselves charged with a crime.

We do so, and always will, without favor or fear. We proudly stand for those who have NO ONE to stand with them. We are true friends of the friendless. Advocates for the outcast. We are CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAWYERS! And we need YOU!

As President of TACDL I invite you to join TACDL, throw your shoulder to the stone and help us as we labor in the fields of justice!

–Mike Whalen, President
